Amit Soundalgekar

Amit Soundalgekar is Founder and CEO of AROHAN in India. He is a business strategy consultant and a leadership and business coach, and for more than two decades he has worked in consulting, coaching and facilitation, helping organizations to strategize and coaching their leaders. Amit and Julia Feng are friends of many years; both are leadership trainers, coaches and organic farmers.

Amit began his career in sales and pharmaceutical sales, then started his own water treatment business. When people began inviting him to give talks, he found he loved communicating with people, and gave up that business for consulting, coaching and facilitation. Today he also farms organically, works with young people in rural India so they can build wealth through farming and stay in their villages, and is involved in conserving a local cattle breed in the Western Ghats. With a friend, he has also started a music studio.

On The Adaptive Edge, Amit shared his belief that you deal with complexity by gravitating towards simplicity, and his three steps of study, reflect and apply. He talked about avoiding decision fatigue by giving up control of small decisions, about moving from material success to purpose, and about why he chose organic farming after losing his father to cancer. His purpose: we live to give.
